Without His deliverance from the turbulent chaos of sin – we have no hope. People do not really get just how desperate our situation is apart from Christ. We are totally unable to save ourselves! There is nothing we can do in our own strength to win God’s help. It is a lie that God helps those who help themselves – because we can’t help ourselves anymore than a two-year-old in too deep! We cannot swim to safety. Only Christ can save. Only Christ can help us.
