NEXT Ministries
Gaining a Heart of Wisdom to Impact Future Generations
“So teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom.”
Psalm 90:12
Our Vision & Purpose
NEXT Ministries exists to create meaningful opportunities for seniors at Fellowship Baptist Church to engage in fellowship, friendship, encouragement, and prayer—grounded in the spirit of Hebrews 10:24-25:
And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together… but encouraging one another…
Our desire is to walk in wisdom as we grow older—investing in one another and impacting future generations through faith and love.
What We Do
NEXT meets monthly from September through June, offering a warm and welcoming space for connection and spiritual growth. Each gathering includes:
Devotional Teaching or Bible Study
Tailored with the needs and experiences of seniors in mind—featuring open discussion and biblical encouragement.
Prayer
Both corporate and individual prayer are central to our time together, building unity and care for one another.
Fellowship Over Lunch
Seniors are invited to bring a bagged lunch and enjoy extended time together after each meeting to connect and build friendships.
Seasonal Events
Special gatherings are planned during Christmas and summer break, creating opportunities for celebration and outreach.
Opportunities to Serve
White NEXT meets monthly, service is encouraged in ongoing, organic ways—rooted in the “one another” verses of Scripture. Seniors are invited to:
- Mentor and support younger generations
- Offer practical help to others in need
- Show hospitality and care to fellow seniors
- Encourage one another in faith and life
Through NEXT, seniors continue to reflect the heart of Christ as they love, serve, and lead within the body of Christ.
