We are living in a confused, anxious, and volatile time. The strain of isolation, the stress added by job loss, and anxiety from financial insecurity creates the perfect storm for an emotional and mental breakdown. On top of that, one of the key means of support designed by God (companionship) has been diluted by social isolation. Thankfully, we are not physically starving yet, but people are starving for connection.
So how do we navigate this crisis as followers of Christ? How do we maintain sanity in the midst of our socially distant age? The key is understanding that discomfort is incredibly revealing. It gives us the opportunity to see what’s really going on within our hearts, to see what God wants us to see.
